Praise For STICKS AND STONES

5.0 out of 5 stars Relentless, and Creepy. Spooky Sean
A bitter separation, and a man left to stew in anger. Another man, on a drive to look at inherited property, deep in the shadowy woods. Creatures in the forest who know how to use the tools nature has to offer to get their kills.
Charlie Morgan crafts a story with multiple perspectives, and alternate timelines which all merge together in one final, bloody altercation. This is a writer who knows how to keep you in suspense, no matter what he chooses to set to print.
For fans of cryptids, extreme bloody horror, and simple, good old-fashioned horror tales in the woods. Stick and Stones will smack you upside the head, and keep you trapped, turning page after page until you find there are no more. At this point you will be sad, but never fear, there are extra goodies after Sticks ends.
Keep your eyes open for Charlie Morgan. He's sure to continue to crank out quality horror fiction.
And he's only just begun to kick your ass with his words.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bloody cool read, Eric S. Brown
Mr Morgan continues to impress me with work. His stories are tense, original, and well developed. . .not to mention FUN. He's certainly a new horror author to keep an eye on. He'll be on the best sellers lists in no time.

Praise For NIGHT OWLS
Dreadful Tales review

The story is a graphic take on the well worn stalker theme.  Morgan is able to inject new life into this fairly predictable formula by toying with the reader’s notions of what makes a traditional “victim”.  Think Crouch and Konrath’s Serial, but with a much more interesting twist and a slight gender analysis.  This is some very interesting ground that Morgan is treading on, folks.  Unfortunately just as the reader becomes completely engrossed in the story, it ends and we are left wanting, no, craving more.
Charlie Morgan is a very talented writer.  He has an innate feel for pacing as he draws the reader into his blood soaked world.  Night Owls is succinct, bypassing the superfluos prose that can often bog down a good story.  Morgan commands his words for maximum impact leaving the reader afraid to read the next sentence.  On a few occasions in Night Owls, Morgan’s quick hitting prose and grisly descriptions are reminiscent of the works of Laymon and Lee. Now don’t get me wrong, Morgan is not at the level of these genre masters but he does an admirable job flaunting his influences and making them his own.
Morgan obviously has some real writing chops.  He knows how to build tension with quick hitting prose and his attention to every gory detail make for some very vivid images that I wish were explored a bit more.  If Night Owls is the bloody appetizer that Morgan is presenting to the horror community than I am anxiously waiting at the table to see what grotesque offering  he is preparing for the main course.

Praise For CARCASS

Survival horror
I love vampires - and before you mock me, I mean the proper vampires like those in 30 Days of Night, I am Legend, The Strain, etc, not the bland pretty boys that seem to be killing the sub-genre at the moment. 'Carcass' has my kind of vampires in. The feral, undead, disgusting creatures from myth and legend. Scary vampires, how they should be, thanks to Charlie Morgan. This is old-school survival horror, brutal, uncompromising and unrelenting. I really enjoyed it. No messing around, straight into the action and blood. The only thing holding it back from a 5 star rating is the abrupt ending, which annoyed me as I was really caught up in the story.
If you want a real vampire tale and you're sick of cradle-snatching vamps brooding about teenage girls, 'Carcass' is what you should be reading.

 Pretty good
I gave 5 stars because the writing really kept me engrossed. I debated on giving 4 stars because the story just wasn't long enough - okay Charlie Morgan, please pick this story back up and continue it! Your writing is great - descriptive enough without overdoing it like some authors, and downright scary! What are you waiting for??? :-)
